March 31st - April 4th, Baltimore

So, March 31st in the afternoon we were welcomed at the Baltimore airport by David and Cynthia. No misunderstandings about flight schedules this time!

This is their house. They just moved in here in December.
It felt like walking onto a movie set.....

The view from the guest-room, which had it's own bathroom. The only thing missing was a kitchen, then we wouldn't have had to meet each other at all!

On Friday, David showed us the place where he works. They build model trains there. Seems a little like a place where you can be a child again and make it look totally serious. The things they were building were really impressive though.

Here David is helping John with his homework, and I'm pretending to help too.

One of my dearest memories is making music with John, listening to him play and him singing the blues while I played.
That was absolutely great!! I'm sorry there are no pictures of that.

Dave, a friend of Anna's, came over to show her his new 12-string guitar. He played one of his own songs, really good!
Meet Clipper!
This is the Blue Window, facing the street. Anna thought it was worth a picture, and I agree.
On sunday, went out to go eat crabs. It seems that's a must whenever you visit Baltimore. We went to the restaurant by watertaxi.

Eating crab is not the way to improve one's table manners! A lot of fun though, and very good.

I wonder what Anna B. is thinking here...

On Monday we visited Washington, D.C. Click here to see what that was like .

The last supper......

The last day of a great stay, it was an emotional thing for both of us. For me, to see how you guys live, and what has become of the little nephew that visited us all those years ago, to be a part of your life for a few days.
For Anna, it was nice to feel so welcome right away with people she just met.

A present from Anna, giving us a little cultural update. Thanks!
